Everyone’s diagramming needs are different, which is why we’ve made it easy to import any image or library of images into Gliffy. If you need inspiration, a few of our favorite sources for icons are IcoMoon, The Noun Project and Icon Finder. We also love Sketch App sources newsletters because they’re full of great tips and free resources.
HERE’S HOW
There Are 3 Ways to Import an Image
1. You can go to the toolbar and choose File, Import
2. Go to the Images section of your Gliffy library and click the Select Image to Upload button
3. Simply drag and drop an image from your computer directly on to the Gliffy canvas.
Pro Tip: You can tag or delete any image by right clicking it.
To Add an Entire Library of Images or Shapes
1. Scroll down to the bottom of the shape navigator and click More Shapes.
2. Select Add Custom Library from the popup window
3. Drag & drop your images directly into the popup window or browse your computer for a file to upload. Make sure to name your library before saving it because unnamed libraries will not be saved.
4. Select whether only you or anyone sharing the account can edit the library you’ve just added.
To Organize Your Custom Library
Select the Gear icon. From here you will be able to Edit, Remove or Delete it.
Pro Tip: We recommend that you import SVG files whenever possible. They can be enlarged to any size without losing resolution.
Please note, there is currently a limit of 30 shapes per library and 1MB size limit per image.
